The Crystal Spring Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hoosier_Reviewer: Attention cache owner,

It has been brought to my attention that the Charles C. Deam Wilderness area now prohibits geocaching.

The land managers have requested that we archive all active caches and prohibit all new caches. If you feel that there is an error and your cache isn't on their property, please email me at Hoosierreviewer@gmail.com

Thanks,

Geocache Description:

This cache is near the Horseman's Camp in the Deam Wilderness.

I went out to work on my tour of all 32 ponds on the north side of Tower Ridge Road. I have seen 29 of them now. On my way I found this great little spring gushing out of the hillside into the creek. This is not a watershed from a hillside, it is a spring coming out of the rocks. The water is so clean it sparkles like crystal. I thought I would mark it with a cache for thirsty hikers. Water purification pills are recommended just to be on the safe side. I need to start using them myself.

WOW! It takes courage to take on that steep terrain in the deep snow. You could reach terminal velocity in seconds if you slipped. BIG APPLAUSE on your FTF DJHobby!
