Park at N41.04.830 W074.29.550 on Cannistear Rd. Follow the highlands trail.This is Newark Watershed property and a permit is required to hike here.Permits can be obtained at their offices on Echo lake rd.

This is the fourth in my series commemorating the fortieth anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing.On July 30th 1971 Astronauts David Scott and James Irwin set foot on Hadley Rille becoming the seventh and eighth men to walk on the Moon.Alfred Worden was the command module pilot.Scott and Irwin spent almost twenty hours traversing the lunar surface covering over fifteen miles.This was the first misson to use the lunar rover.
