Kioroshi shellfish layer is the stratum which included a lot of shellfish fossils about 120000-130000 years ago.
There is it in the Kioroshi manyou Park which the good place of the view has.
I mistook it for a shell mound.
It is appointed to the natural monument of the country.
The collection of the shellfish fossil on specified place is a prohibition.

木下貝層は、約12～13万年前の貝化石類を多く含んだ地層です。
眺めのよい場所もある、木下万葉公園内にあります。
私は、貝塚と勘違いしていました。
国の天然記念物に指定されています。
なお、指定地での貝化石の採取は禁止です。
