An ammo can I retrieved from "Dundee2’s Big O! Birthday Cache by scubajayhawk." He moved to Florida and needed to archive the cache. I placed his ammo can here with a couple of TB's and the leftover contents from "Dundee."
This end of Nelson Island only had one cache. I was here getting one of the others on this island and decided there needed to be another one at this end. The trail is paved from the parking lot to just west of the picnic structure on the island. Then there is a hard packed dirt trail for a short distance. The last 200-300 feet are very brushy.
3/30/11 Ammo can went missing. Replaced with cammoed large loc-n-loc.
2/2/16 Ammo can is back in place. I received a message in November 2015 on one of the area geocaching web pages that someone had found this ammo can in a log jam near Edwardsville. He gave it to a geocaching friend who lives in Herington, KS. It took until a week or two ago to get that ammo can from Herington to me. But now it's back where it belongs.
10/11/16-Another ammo can gone missing. Replaced with a loc-n-loc and fastened it in place this time.
