Geocache Description:

With the trail maps on my GPS, I discovered the fun of taking a trail just to see where it went, knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt how to return, even if I take a different trail.

BrewerMD and I saw a squiggly line on our GPSrs and away we went, heading right for it. When we got to where it branched off the main trail, we saw a glorious tree that would be perfect for a cache. But, wait, what was that bright light just down the way? We followed the light. It was sunlight! Not something you see every day in the our tree farm.

Not everyone can see the beauty of a clear cut, but as we broke free of the heavy tree cover and into the sun I declared it (although not at the time) a beautiful kerf line.

It was like a birthday present, and as the day was very close to BrewerMD’s birthday, it was doubly so.

So I placed a cache here. It’s a small, hidden in a boring, traditional, typical manner just a few feet off the trail and right on the kerf line.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
