Roxy's Cache


This cache is named for a very special canine who was the owner of a human being named Nicole. Roxy was a loyal protector. One time I went to Nicole’s house when she was not there, and Ms. Roxy got up in the window by the door to let me know in no uncertain terms that this was hers and her mama's territory!! Sadly, Roxy passed away on February 10, 2014 after living a long life and giving her mama much joy. She will be missed.

The cache is a camo painted lock and lock container placed several feet off the Landon Nature Trail. It is stocked with a few items I have picked up in past geocaching adventures. Please make a fair trade. The coordinates were averaged 50 times on a clear day in the fall. Don't forget your pen!

The Landon Nature Trail is a public-private cooperative project between the City of Topeka, Parks and Recreation Department and the Kanza Rail Trails Conservancy. The Landon has been leased to the City inside the city limits and they are developing it as the main north/south arterial in their extensive trail system. The Kanza Rail Trails Conservancy is developing the Landon outside the city. This continues to be a very successful cooperative effort of public and private investment in positive enhancement of our community.
