Bamboozled Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Shady in the afternoon, an easy cache.

Wet Season, beware the Mozzies.

A quiet, shady park hidden away in Stuart Park. In the centre is a large bamboo plantation that spreads up and outwards. The park is named after Walter Que Noy, an Australian Pioneer of the Northern Territory.

The park is situated on Gothernburg street, named after SS Gothernburg, which left Darwin en route to Adelaide when she encountered a cyclone-strength storm off the north Queensland coast. The ship was wrecked on the Barrier Reef on 24 February 1875. 102 perished, although reports vary, including Dr James Millner and his family, for which the northern Darwin suburb of Millner was named after.
Most streets in the northern Darwin suburb of Coconut Grove and some in the adjacent suburb of Millner, were named after local Darwin residents, interstate visitors and crew who lost their lives during the shipwreck. Some very prominent people at the time were onboard.

The container is a regular Sistema and the area is generally muggle free.
