This cache will take you along a new reroute of the Rideau Trail along what is know as 'Bleeks Trail'. The cache is slightly off the trail in a sparesely wooded area.
Note Dec09: to access the log, you must unscrew the container from the lid. The lid is fastened to the 'shade' so do not attempt to take it away from the 'shade'.
The Rideau Trail Association is a non-profit organization and a founding member of Hike Ontario. Its purpose is to preserve and maintain a hiking trail from Kingston to Ottawa. Its registered trademark is a red-orange isosceles triangle; these triangles are used to mark the main trail (to distinguish the two directions, Kingston-bound trail markers carry yellow tips). This section of the trail is maintained by a member of the Ottawa Rideau Trail, a subset of the Rideau Trail Association.
