Geocache Description:

This is a magnetic pop bottle cap container that has been placed in a Winneshiek County Park located along the scenic Upper Iowa River. You are interested in the old Historic bridge.

This County Park serves as a popular canoe and inner tube launch site for short trips down to the town of Bluffton. It also provides a brief pit stop for those who get on the river further upstream. During the summer months, this area can be quite busy on weekends. Since the original Park area was bulldozed to put in the new bridge the camping is now gone. There is some parking, new vault toilet and a couple picnic tables in the redone canoe access. This hide has changed too since that giant Silver Maple has been removed. The cache is now located on the right side of that Historic old iron bridge. Almost all the action here will be left of the Bridge so you shouldn't have to be too stealthy. NO NEED TO CLIMB UP TO THE BRIDGE AS IT IS ON THE HANDRAIL JUST BEFORE THE BRIDGE. KEEPING the D/T the same for those that found it when it was a rather interesting Climb, so the hide now is a Gift. Current D/T is 1/1.5 DO NOTE: There is a nail in the center of the paper log and the opposite end of that nail is sharp.
