Geocache Description:

Off the beaten path. Some elevation changes. Elevation 71m. About 30 minute walk from ferry landing at main town. CAUTION: You will be on a narrow rock ledge without railing.

Small Jiff peanutbutter container filled with some key chains, trackale GC, a logbook and pen, and maybe something else.

Legend has it that a Thai Leprechaun brought some Bluestone back to Thailand and placed it on KOH bLARNey (or not). Some say he disguised this Bluestone as traditional Thai rock in fear that it would be hauled back to Ireland (smart thinking). Thai legend says that if you kiss this rock that you'll be blessed with eloquence and abundance of Thai women in Pattaya and/or a geocache (you be the judge).

If you don't get down to kiss the KOH bLARNey Stone, you will not find this cache. Even if you don't actually kiss the stone, you better put your lips close to the stone and pretend to kiss it, otherwise, no eloquence nor cache. For all you know I could be making all this folklore up (sounds made up to me but I'm not going to question it).

Come spend the morning finding the several caches on Koh Larn (KOH bLARNey), then spend the rest of the day on the beach. By the way, there are several ferries out to Koh Larn (KOH bLARNey) but the cheapest is 20 Baht one way and it drops off in town (leaves Pattaya 10am - 12noon, 2pm, and then some). It's a refreshing walk at 10am but a little warm. A beautiful beach awaits you just below your location and it's all down hill (about 10 minutes walk). And there is a ferry that leaves from this beach I speak of but not sure of the price but upwards 40 - 90 baht if you're too tired to walk back to the town ferry.

Time to start leaving Jaykaows soon to be world famous geocaching tip. Put a couple 600ml bottles of water into the freezer the night before going out caching. In the morning you should have two bottles of ice. Put them in your backpack. After several hours of Thailand weather they will be melting away and you'll have yourself cool refreshing ice-water. Much better than the barely cool water sold at the local mini-mart. Most hotels have mini-frige with a small freezer section. These small bottles fit in nicely. You may have to defrost first if there is built up ice in the freezer. Also, adjust the temp so that it's as cold as it gets or those bottles of water will still be water in the morning.
