This is the "gateway" to the tracks the students of CMP walk to get to the park. Convenient parking available in the church parking lot. Look 30 feet south of ground zero.
These railroad tracks have been opened up to the public as part of the El Dorado Trails system. I believe this is a result of the "Rails to Trails" programs, but the postings only identify it as an El Dorado Trail. Be sure to read the trail use signs. Be careful and enjoy the country scenery. This cache needed to be moved off the tracks as a courtesy to the railroad maintenance staff. It is now located 30 feet south of ground zero. Cache at the tracks #1 was placed by students in the Sequoia class who are members of the 2010 Science Olympiad Team. This is the first in a series :)
