A road side cache on SH 1
At the entrance to the seaside township of Moeraki is Hillgrove which once had a small railway station but now has a section of double track to allow trains to pass. Sited just north of Hillgrove you will notice the Ark sitting in readiness for the next big flood. Not too much room for many two by twos, but at least a place for a cache. The cache is a 100ml tube container hidden on the roadside so you will not have to cross the fence to book your place on the Ark.
