Not a hill cache (well you don't actually have to walk up a mountain to retrieve the cache)
I had often wondered about the mounds here. Just a great place for the kids to muck about on? Then one fine winters day whilst the geokids were playing on the mounds and I was wistfully staring at the horizon - Eureka!, it suddenly struck me as to what they were.
The Replication may not be quite as obvious in late spring/summer as the view can be obscured by foliage...but sit, ponder and look carefully at the south-eastern horizon. You will soon see why I've called it Mt Replication.
Also check out the shape of the path in the NE corner of the park.
In the same location is a Munzee ( (visit link) There is also a Pokestop nearby and an Ingress (visit link) portal.
Be happy to hear from anyone (particularly any surveyors) who has further info on this park - I'm sure there must be a story behind it.
*****Congrats to bubble & squeak on FTF (published at 10.07am, logged at 10.50am - not bad!!)**********
