This park is a hidden gem to explore at any time of year. The view of the Mississippi River from here is nothing short of spectacular, and there are trails all over, leading into a picnic area we enjoy visiting.
Since this trail does border privately owned land, wearing blaze orange in season is advised.
Be sure while you're up here to check out the other caches placed within the park. Enjoy!
Please Note: The attributes regarding short hike, stroller accessible, taking less than an hour (at least for some) apply to only when the road leading into the park is open. When the road is gated, strollers are not advised and it will be a long uphill walk. Additionally, the terrain rating will obviously be more difficult when the road to the park is gated (typically between Labor Day and Memorial Day Weekends).
