The Highlands Spring Fling 2010
Welcome to the next The Highlands Spring Fling for 2010! We are
so happy to be having this event again at our usual location, at
the Cabela's retail store at The Highlands! When you enter the
store, go upstairs between the camping section and the restaurant
and you will see the conference room....thats where we will be!!
The event will start at 10:00 am and run until around 6:00 pm. We
will be chatting geocaching, coins, travelbugs, and the wild
stories of the hunt (true or lies, its always entertaining!!) There
will be WIFI so bring your laptops! Food is available at the
restaurant if you get hungry, but you don't need to buy anything at
all to hang with us!
The Game
The game this year is going to be a suprise!! There will be lots
of temps and a few new permanent caches in the area as well... You
will need to drive to acquire the caches, but some may be within
walking distance of the store!! To win the game, you do not need to
find all the caches...but the more you find, the better chance you
have of winning!! This game is not a race!! Work at your own pace!
You just have to be back in the conference room by 3 pm, not a
minute later! You will get more details when you register! When you
register at the desk when you come into the event, you will be
given a packet with all the information you need! You need to post
your "Will Attend" by Saturday at 12 noon to recieve a packet to
play the game! So, please double check that you posted your will
attend and your name is on the right side under the "Attending"
section!
Other Stuff
As you all know, there will be give aways, such as coins, gift
certificates, t-shirts (a local favorite donated by a very handsome
and great guy we all know and love!!), etc!! The PAGA Geostore will
be available at the event for all your geocaching needs and
supplies!! They will also have some ammo cans for sale too!!
We will have a Kids Corner again this year again!! Crafts, games,
movies, etc for the kids to do!! This will be run by Little Qube
and The Mad Calf!
