SIANTO Ledge Traditional Cache

Cache is situated on a mountain overlooking Hout Bay. The location provides incredible views of the Hout Bay Valley. The hike requires moderate fitness with an initially steep ascent. The path is overgrown in some areas and may require some rock scrambling.
The actual cache is hidden very near to an overhanging ledge which is the main attraction of the location. There are truly dramatic views of the entire Hout Bay valley below. The hike
to the cache is approximately 6 km from either direction;
Constantia Nek or East Fort. Altitude is approximately 530 m above sea level.
The ledge is exposed and great care should be taken. Sitting on the ledge should not be attempted in windy conditions.
The cache is in a sealed, clear plastic container which has been placed in a clear ziplock plastic sleeve. The contents include pencil, logbook, a small memento and importantly, a disposable camera. Individuals or groups that find the cache should take a photo of themselves and log their visit . When the spool is finished I will collect the camera and publish the photos on the cache webpage.
