Lancaster Quarryville Line Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Should be C&D....... kids can be along with adults but shouldn't be involved in location of the cache.

Some history of the "Southern end"of Lancaster county where I grew up. This bridge carried the Pennsylvania Railroad from Lancaster to Quarryville for 72 years! The rails were taken up after Hurricane Agnus washed alot of the railbed out in !972. It is a real shame the Federal Rail/Trail laws were not in place to make this a Railtrail from Lancaster to Quarryville where the track ended. The Quarryville Station along State St. in downtown Q-ville was taken down years ago,the Bumgarder Rd. Station and West Willow Stations still stand.
