A good hike to the top of the ridge. Tops out at elevation of 3040 feet. Great 360 degree view of St. George and surrounding area. Some exposure at the top so watch the kiddies.
Cache is an ammo can hidden in a rocky crack at the top of the ridge. Contains items useful for hikers plus assorted swag and stuff for kids. Access from two spots; 1 from new road construction off of exit 2 on I-15 (N37 01.693, W 113 35.912, approx. .56 mile hike, 320+ foot elevation gain). Access 2 from tunnel under I-15 off Pioneer Rd; (N37 02.455 W 113 35.762, approx. .84 mile hike, 520+ foot elevation gain). Caution: Don't approach from the northeast! Carry water, particularly during warm weather! Coords should be accurate. My EPE was 14 feet.
