Geocache Description:

110 Year Old Trestle bridge soon to be partly demolished.

This 110 year old trestle rail bridge was part of the line that ran from Melbourne to Port Fairy. The section from Terang to Port Fairy was opened in Feb 1890 and the line from Dennington (Frontera) to Port Fairy was closed in March 1977. In its heyday it was fully wooden with ballast deck. At the time of listing there was a bit of controversy as to retain or demolish the bridge. (Heritage) Check additional waypoint for the best starting point. The area has long grass so keep a look out for possible snakes. You are looking for a mint tin which has a log book, pencil, and room for a coin or small bug. Please replace as found to stop creeping.
