After lancemac Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Beege49: Finally made it out to check on the cache; it's gone, alright! Perhaps it was picked up in one of the recent river clean-up days. Anyway, due to my difficulty in maintaining it, I'll archive it and leave the spot open for a new cache to appear. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

Note as of 8/27/11: This cache has required wading or been entirely unreachable for several months. Currently reachable with wading (river at 3900 cfs) but don't know how long this will remain so. Be very careful if you do wade to get to it; recommend using a walking/wading staff to get across the slippery rocks. Raising the terrain level to 3. There were no poison oak or blackberry vines at the cache site when placed. The cache is small, so bring your own pen or pencil.

This cache is off the main trail that goes around the William Pond park pond, a pleasant 2 mile hike. There was a cache near here by lancemac which was muggled and archived, but the beautiful view out over the river remains, so here is a new cache a little further back from the viewpoint. Many wintering ducks rest in the small cove to the north, deer swim the river here, and you may be entertained by rafters capsizing in the usually small rapids to the south. Dogs love the walk, but are allowed on leash only, due to wildlife in area.

CONGRATULATIONS TO WALLYP FOR THE FTF AND YOUR FIRST FTF!
