Geocache Description:

Halfway between the Equator and the North Pole - It all depends on definitions. This is Definition 1 - Halfway is at N 45.00000°

While you are on the Peninsula, please be sure to check out the "2nd Option", along with the "3rd Option" for a greater understanding of this simple question.

Here, if a circle is 360 degrees, then 1/2 of a Quarter must be 45 degrees. In a perfect world, this traditional theory assumes that the Earth is a perfect sphere. Half of 90° is 45° 00.000 - But do we live in a "perfect" world?

You are looking for faded silver bison tube. You might need tweezers, and be sure to bring your own pencil or pen. Be aware that this one is on the fence side, so the ravine must be crossed, and it could be wet and / or muddy.

Yes, I know that we could discuss datums and mapping errors, but that just proves there is no perfect answer. Special thanks to Professor Steve Dutch at University of Wisconsin for adding to my understanding of an apparently simple question.

FTF congratulations go to NorMin & Ruffy.

Happy Hunting
