The Surviving in Buenos Aires series is based off
Alexholic's excellent
surviving the virus series and describe a post-geocaching
world, a zombie-type story. If you don't like this type of story,
below you have a simple version.
Finally, I've found a survivor!
Yesterday I saw the undead acting even stranger, again: At mid-day,
while scouting this area I saw some of them wandering around the
abandoned house on which I hid my second note. They were sniffing
its walls, biting the bricks. I think they smelled
something…
Later I approached and viola! I checked the container I left before
and saw that a survivor had left a note… Finally I know I'm
not the only one here. What a relief!
But he only signed the note and didn't left any information on how
he is, how he managed to survive this long or how to locate him.
He's name is
gaturro&conejitem. I must find a way to find him and any
other survivor in the area.
But first I must use the short wave radio and broadcast as far as I
can... I think I can finally know how to make it work.
Lets check: I have the radio, a battery and the inverter, and just
now I managed to get some cables from these ruined transmitting
stations. Now I must connect the radio to one of the antennas at
the top of this tower.
As I know that something may go wrong (I might fall, get
electrocuted or I might get surrounded by these living corpses)
I'll first leave this note. This time I'm hiding it quite well, so
that the zombies don't find it. Check the fence around one of the
antenna's feet.
If you find this log please sign it and tell me how you're holding
up, and anything else that could be of help. Do yo know where to
get water or food? My supplies are getting really low!
And if you need electrical supplies, motor parts and even metal
plates to build a barricade check the transmitting stations, you
might find some useful stuff.

cache series is located between the Anchorena and Barrancas
Stations of the Tren de la Costa, in a
path only accessible by foot or by bicycle.
If you have one or two hours and want to excersice a little come
and check this huge serie of caches!
Also, dont forget to check the
Tren de la Costa Ride cache series, that has caches near most
stations.
When to search for the cache
When searching for this cache please
avoid busy moments such as weekends and holydays, as this
area gets really crowded with geomuggles.
In Argentina the Geocaching is not yet a game as popular as in
other countries, and is common that geomuggles steal caches just
for fun. So, please search and pick up the cache when no one is
looking, and later leave the cache the same way. Always try to
pass unnoticed.
Although the area is not dangerous avoid searching for this
cache at night.

If coming from abroad you can
contact me for additional information on reaching this area
(it's easy, safe and near touristic areas you could visit).
If you come by car there's free parking at the nearby streets,
and once you find the cache please sign the log giving us your
opinion and any comments you like, and feel free to leave your TBs,
TCs, and take anything you want. Just remember to always leave
something of equal or greater value!

historia de estilo zombie. Si no es de tu gusto este tipo de
historias, mas abajo tienes una versión
simple.
Finalmente, ¡encontré a un sobreviviente!
Ayer noté a los muertos vivos actuando más raro que de costumbre:
Durante el mediodía, mientras buscaba materiales por esta área vi
algunos de ellos rondando la casa abandonada en donde escondí mi
segunda nota. Estaban olfateando las paredes, mordiendo los
ladrillos. Creo que olieron algo…
Así que cuando se fueron me acerqué y ¡sorpresa! Revisé el
contenedor que había dejado antes y vi que un sobreviviente dejó
una nota… ¡Finalmente se que no soy el único!
Pero solo dejó una corta nota y ninguna información sobre cómo se
encuentra o como logró sobrevivir todo este tiempo, o como
contactarlo nuevamente. Su nombre es gaturro&conejitem. Tengo
que encontrar una manera de localizarlo a él y a cualquier otro
sobreviviente en el área.
Pero primero tengo que usar la radio de onda corta y transmitir un
mensaje tan lejos como pueda. Creo que finalmente ya sé cómo
hacerla funcionar.
Revisemos: tengo la radio, una batería con carga y el inversor, y
acabo de conseguir los cables que necesitaba, en esta estación de
transmisión en ruinas. Ahora solo me queda conectar la radio a una
de las antenas al tope de esta torre.
Como se que algo puede salir mal (puedo caerme, electrocutarme o
quedar rodeado por los muertos vivos) primero dejaré esta nota.
Esta vez la estoy escondiendo muy bien, para que los zombies no
puedan encontrarla. Revisa el cerco alrededor de una de las patas
de la antena. ¡Está a simple vista!
Si encuentras este mensaje por favor deja un registro en el log y
cuéntame como te mantienes, y cualquier cosa que pueda ser de
utilidad. ¿Sabes dónde encontrar comida o agua? Mis reservas están
realmente bajas!
Y si necesitas material eléctrico, partes de motores e incluso
planchas de metal para construir una barricada revisa las
estaciones de transmisión, probablemente encuentres cosas de
utilidad.

simple
Esta serie de caches se encuentra entre las estaciones
Anchorena y Barrancas del Tren de la Costa, en
un camino reservado para peatones y bicicletas que une ambas
estaciones.
Si tienes algunas horas libres y ganas de hacer un poco de
ejercicio, ven y diviertete encontrando esta nueva y gran serie de
caches.
También no te olvides de
la serie de caches del Paseo del Tren de la Costa, que tiene
caches cerca de casi cada estación del tren.
Cuando buscar el cache
Al buscar este cache por favor
evita momentos de alta actividad como los fines de semana,
esta área se llena por completo de geomuggles.
En Argentina el Geochacing todavía no es tan popular como en
otros paises, y es comun que los geomuggles roben los cachés por
simple diversión. Por lo tanto, por favor busca y recoge el
cache cuando nadie esté mirando, y luego deja el caché tal cual
como lo encontraste. Siempre intenta pasar
desapecibido.
Y si bien esta área no es peligrosa, evita buscar este
cache de noche.

Si vienes en auto, cerca tienes estacionamiento libre, sobre
las calles, y una vez que encuentres el caché por favor firma la
bitácora, dejándonos tu opinión y cualquier comentario que
tengas.
Al volver a esconder el cache por favor asegúrate de dejar
todo como estaba.
