Geocache Description:

Just inside the west/southwest edge of the Chiltern - Mt Pilot Park

You're looking for a 200ml sistema container which has log, pencil, some stickers for the kids and, at least initially, Ryans Take A Kid Geocaching coin, whose goal it is to travel as far as possible.

Turn into Eldorado-Byawatha rd from the Wangaratta rd, drive over the culvert bridge and bend right where the road forks then turn right into Old Coach Rd (named Gleed on map ). At 575mtrs past the Chiltern - Mt Pilot Park sign turn right and park at S 36 18.169 E 146 30.120. It's a short walk from this spot. It's particularly lovely here early morning and at dusk. The cache isn't at the edge but keep an eye on the kids going too close.

To your extreme right your looking at the south end of the Warby Range , straight ahead is Mt Buffalo and to your left your looking up the Woolshed Valley to Kangaroo Hill. 30degrees to the right of Buffalo and mid foreground is the Gold Dredge, largest in Australia if not the southern hemisphere. You passed it on your way in and may want to have a look on your return.

Depending on the season , take care for snakes , animal scrapes and grass seeds. I hope you enjoy your time here.
