Geocache Description:

This cache is located next to a historic bridge in rural Yell County Arkansas. The bridge was built in 1912.

On October 25, 1911, the Yell County Quorum Court appropriated $750 for a bridge across Harris Creek on the Hot Springs Road. The bridge was completed the next year by J.C. Wilson for $500. On the north end of the bridge, you can see exposed concrete with the name of one individual and the initials of another. It is very clean around the bridge at the time of placing the cache. The landowners near the bridge took it upon themselvels to do this. I spoke to a relative of the landowner that lives next to the bridge and they are aware and supportive of the cache placement. Their animals (horses, cats, dogs, and goats) will pay you a visit while you are here. Take you time and enjoy the exploration. Please express your thanks to anyone that visits from the nearby home.

This road does not get a lot of traffic but the day of the placement, there were four vehicles went by in about twenty minutes, so be careful of the bridge traffic and the water below. The more you write, the more I like it. Please reward me with a good log including any animal or human muggle activity.

Please do not attempt this cache at night.

By the way, if you know of any other old bridges in the area (that don't have caches, etc.) please let me know or post them in the logs.
