JamGuys' Cold Weather Treasure Series #3 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

JamGuys: Finally archiving this cache and the series ... should have done so a long time ago. Will there be a 2010 edition? It's been a busy year for me at work but the weather has changed and I do have a few ideas in my head so stay tuned! [}:)]

Geocache Description:

Congrats to riffy09 and company for a well-deserved FTF in the snow!

My original aim for this series was to give you all something to do on those bleak winter days and nights when it's just too frigid to be outdoors for any length of time and, now that the cold weather is truly upon us, that's still very much the plan! So, without further ado, here is ....

The Case of the Mysterious Envelope!

I was browsing through a small antique store in Arcadia a few weeks ago when I spotted this interesting-looking philatelic cover stuck in between a bunch of old postcards from around the world. For some reason, it captured my imagination and I bought it for 50 cents and took it home. I then had a closer look at the address on the label and realized that there was something rather cryptic about it. Since I'm not quite sure what it means, I'm posting a picture of the envelope to see if you might be able to make something of it. Who knows, there might even be something valuable in it for you this Christmas!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

ABOUT THIS SERIES: This is the third of a series of four puzzle caches that I'm releasing over the course of the 2009 fall and winter seasons These are being published at a rate of one per month with the final cache in the series scheduled to be released in January, 2010. For this puzzle, the container is a small well-stocked ammo can. The First to Find prize for each cache is an unactivated 5th Anniversary Compass Rose Geocoin with the prize for this third puzzle being the glittering Antarctic coin (polished nickel with a glow-in-the-dark color). Similar to the last puzzle, I've also included two additional coins for Second to Find and Third to Find! (These are exactly the same as for the previous cache so, Cobbee, if McG Mob pips you again for the FTF, feel free to grab the TTF prize if you're looking for something a bit different. OkiePaladin, if you happen to get there third again, I can't do anything for you, sorry. But you guys might all want to keep an eye on riffy09 who has only just entered the fray!)

Here are links to the two previous caches in the series:

JamGuys' Cold Weather Treasure Series #2 - JamGuys' Golden Hoard!

BONUS CACHE: Each cache will also contain a portion of the co-ords for a special bonus cache. The first THREE individual cachers or teams to successfully solve and find ALL FOUR puzzles and then visit the bonus cache will be rewarded with one of three unactivated Crystal Compass Rose Geocoins (Glacier Ice Clear for FTF, Amazon Forest Green for STF, and Earth Stone Brown for TTF). The co-ords for the bonus cache will be issued in the form A.C B.D with the values for A-D being stuck inside the front cover of the logbook for each of the four earlier caches.

HINTS:
I will be issuing one official hint per week up to a maximum of three hints, regardless of whether the cache has been found or not. These hints will be published on consecutive Friday nights sometime between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. CST. Beyond that, I won't be giving out extra hints for any of the caches until the last of the three Crystal Compass Rose coins has been claimed.
