Geocache Description:

quick road side cache named after the tunnels in the great escape best to park in layby n55 47.981 w003 53.676

small tube with screw on cap which contains log and pen
this is a tunnel which once had a conveyor belt running through it to take coal into the yard which is now part of cleland timber where i used to work
there is 3 of these tunnels running under the dual carrigeway one for the conveyor one for a small stream and the other which takes you to "old railway bridges cache no4" watch out for jaggy hawthorn bushes on way walk behind barrier for a bit then go down banking to avoid them ground a bit wet at tunnel entrance
about 5 years ago this was home to a tramp who used to wander around the area dont know where he is now
