This series was designed for Geocachers who
are nostalgic for an "Old Fashioned Hike in the
Woods".
This cache and the easily
found 5 associated caches will take you through a 4 mile loop hike
of the southern section of the South Mountain Reservation.
EXPLICIT HINTS ARE PROVIDED FOR THE HIDE AT
EACH STAGE; the emphasis being on the Hike, not on the

This cache (The Southern SMR #1), is a Decon
container holding a log, pencils and stuff. The hike begins at the
Locust Grove parking area; see the Waypoints section for the
coordinates.
Please
make certain the Top of the Decon Container is closed completely
and Snapped Shut at all 4 corners!
The
hike will allow you to experience many of the features that make
the SMR a special
place.
