We have found many great caches in El Dorado County and wanted to finally hide one up here for all of the cachers on the EDGE (El Dorado Geocaching Experience), so this one's for you! I've been on this trail in the Pine Hill Preserve before, but came here today to hide this cache and find the one further up the hill. With all of the recent snow, I felt more like a Yeti than a Bigfoot stomping my way to ground zero. The snow may add a point to the difficulty for the hardcore FTF.
We won the container this year at the Springtime in Coloma event. It's stuffed full of Bigfoot, Sasquatch and Yeti swag including our new "Are we There Yeti?" geocoin. Please feel free to take something whether you have something to trade or not, I will keep it stocked and would like for you to have a souvenir from your visit.
Once near ground zero, please be gentle on the foliage since this is a protected area. The cache is hiding behind the Manzanita tree, I would suggest bringing it back out to the makeshift bench to sign the log, look through the swag and enjoy the view of Cameron Park. Please re-hide the cache well when you return it because I'm not sure how visible it will be once the snow melts. Enjoy and as always....
I'll see you on the Sasq-cache Trail! -Mikey WhiteFeet
