Hey, everyone
remembers M*A*S*H, right, whether it be the book by Richard Hooker,
the 1970 movie starring Donald Sutherland and Elliott Gould, or the
TV show with Alan Alda and a cast of characters. Well here's your
chance to become part of the cast, as this is a COSTUME PARTY!!
Yeah, that's right, come as your favorite M*A*S*H character!!
Shouldn't be hard -- most of them just wore khaki pants and
t-shirts, or surgical attire. We can all do THAT, can't
we?!?
Harmon has
been whining about an awards banquet for his HoF honors, so here we
go. But the purpose of this event is two-fold:
1) to honor the various Hall of Famers -- heh, maybe someone will
even qualify for the Super Hall of Fame by then by making it into
all eight of the Halls of Fame!! There will be certificates all who
have qualified for any HoF plus Olympic style medals for the top
three finishers for each (see image, below, for the Medal
winners).
2) to hand out some Purple Hearts to that long list of cachers who
have made it through some trying medical challenges recently (or
not-so-recently), as well as Silver Stars to those who supported
them through their respective ordeals. Those of you who qualify
(and you know who you are) just let me know if you would like to be
honored with a Purple Heart (or if you would like to nominate
someone else for a Purple Heart) and/or if you would like to hand
out some Silver Stars and we'll make sure you are properly honored
at the banquet. Anything from a sprained ankle to major surgery
qualifies in this army, so don't be shy!!

wig?!? Will ANYONE have the guts to come as Klinger in his most
flattering skirt?!? Or Trapper John in his horizontal pinstripe
suit from the Hong Kong tailor?!? And, yes, Harmon, THERE WILL BE
PUD CAKE!!! In fact, we might even have a contest for the best PUD
cake with Harmon, of course, being the
judge!!
