Geocache Description:

You are looking for a 7.62mm ammo box, stenciled with GEOCACHE

Although you will be hiking on the AT, the cache itself is not on the main trail, but is off a side trail in the Cherokee Forest.

The trail is pretty good, though there are a few blown down trees in a few places. You'll just have to step or climb over them for now, unless you bring a pruning saw with you.

There's a place to park near the White Memorial near the bridge.

Follow the white blaze marks across the bridge

This is the another one I placed on the way up. 3256ft.

Just 95ft or so off the trail.

Please place cache back, covered and leave no trace.
CITO is always a great idea, especially in this remote secluded area. Bring a trash bag and pack out any trash you see.

Please do not leave water bottles or insect repellent bottles in the cache. They leak and damage the contents. Also, please do not leave any food products or anything that smells like food (i.e. fruit scented items). Animals will find and destroy the cache if you do. Thanks.
