Near a ford that crosses the river Ding. There is no need to go down the steep slope to the river, unless you wish to of course. This can be a quick cache and dash. The cache has now been relocated so you can re log if you so wish.
The river ding flows from the Blackdown hills until it reaches the River Isle. The river is the dividing line between the villages of Horton and Broadway.
The ford was destroyed by floods last year and the rebuild has just been completed.
The stones by the river hide many fossils which are easy to find without the need of a hammer so if you carefully go down the slope to the river see what you can find .... photos of your fossils would be great.
The cache is in a cylindrical vessel with a log book and a pencil.
GPS may give problems due to tree cover.
Happy fossil hunting!
