Smukke: I no longer live near this geocache & am not as active as I once was. Archiving this one to release the area for someone with more geocaching energy.

Geocache Description:

Fourth in a series. Long but beautiful walk from #1 if the bayou is not too full, and you can catch Venus Retrograde (GC21X49) on the way.

dead ringer
noun
a person or thing that seems exactly like someone or something else : he is a dead ringer for his papa.

Many of the containers we hide & seek in geocaching are dead ringers -- camouflaged stuff that we poke into hidey holes and hope they blend in enough to stay put despite the many muggles that wander by.

But there is another definition of “dead ringer” that is not often used in geocaching. And that’s what this series is all about. I’m not that great at the art of camouflage, and I can't ever manage to find caches that are really, really well-camoflaged, but I do like puns.

This one has a holiday theme & therefore is starting its cache life with some holiday items.

You can reach this container without trespassing, and the Terrain Difficulty rating reflects the proper and extremely peaceful & lovely route to this cache (e.g., who knew there was a lake there? and when you are following deer paths, don't be surprised if you see some!) There should not be any serious bushwhacking required, but there may be low/muddy spots, or even standing water.
