Number 2 of 6 caches on a walk starting and finishing at Valle Crucis Abbey. www.castlewales.com/valle.html
You may find the following link useful as a guide to distances and timescale involved in completing the circuit in one go (although the route taken is slightly shorter than the one on this map.) http://www.clwydianrangeaonb.org.uk/uploads/ODP%20Valle%20Crucis.pdf The walk can be done in a couple of hours, and is about 4.5 miles in total. Although they form a nice circular walk, all caches can be done as stand alone finds, with 3, 4 and 5 even working as drive-by’s. To start the walk, park at Valle Crucis Abbey, then follow the footpath through the caravan park, around the Abbey enclosure and over the footbridge. Head up the steps, and turn left to start towards number 1. Half of the route is along public footpaths, which can get very muddy underfoot and you will need to climb over a couple of stiles en-route. The remainder is along the Panorama Walk road, so please keep an eye on Geokids and Geodogs on this stretch. PLEASE ALSO BE AWARE THAT IF YOU'RE USING THE APP IT APPEARS TO STRUGGLE GETTING A SIGNAL AT THIS CACHE!! This cache is a lock ‘n’ lock container containing a log-book and a small assortment of goodies to start it off. There’s also a little FTF certificate and key ring in there! Happy Hunting!! Congratulations go to Lostnwet for FTF'ing all six caches on 14th December '09.
