Geocache Description:

Just a short walk down a well maintained trail to the cache. Room for very small trade items. BYOP.

This is the first in a series of caches that will terminate at Raptor's Roost II which is just a short distance North and West of a small overlook. I have been told that from this overlook you can see a Bald Eagles nest and a mated pair of eagles. While I was in the area I saw the eagles in flight but was not able to locate the nest in question. The park staff have assured me that the nest is out there. It is also for this reason that human encroachment is prohibited any further North or East of the Cache.

Also while walking in for this series be sure to bring water and binoculars as the loop is about 2 miles long and the park has abundant wildlife. If you attempt them during the wet season these trails are all going to be very wet and some may be submerged. During the dry season they are very easy hikes.

This is a state park and for that reason there is a small charge for entry. (it was $3.00 per car at the time the caches were hidden)
