Easy area to park and walk to the cache. This spot is also handicapped accessible.
Calusa View at the Pineland site has been occupied by people for 2,000 years and is obviously archaeologically sensitive. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is state-owned property managed by the Florida Museum of Natural History. The museum curator has a brochure to offer geocachers who visit the site, so that they might be inspired to tour the site and learn more about its past inhabitants. It is best if you visit the site during business hours as it will be a memorable experience.
