Boris and Natasha: Apparently this is missing in action. Too bad. It was one of our better caches.

Geocache Description:

We had a cache here a few years ago by the same name. It was a micro, but this one is an ammo can with Boris and Natasha's usual great stash. Hurry to get there before the good stuff is gone.

This cache is in the Valley of Fire State Park. You will need to pay a $10 entrance fee to get into the park.

The cache is on a wonderful 1.25 mile hike along the White Dome trail. The first part of the trail is a slightly difficult climb down. But the majority of the hike is easy. Continue on past the cache on the loop hike through the slot canyon. The hike out is very easy that way. BE SURE TO TAKE WATER ON ALL HIKES IN THE DESERT.

During the hike you will come upon an old movie set from the 1966 movie "The Professionals." Most of the movie was filmed in the Valley of Fire with a few scenes filmed in Death Valley. The movie starred Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster, Robert Ryan and Jack Palance. Although it may look like this is all that remains of the set from the movie, the building and wall are exactly as they were in the movie. In the movie the four professionals twice camped here at the ruins of a building. The only thing missing from the set are the crosses that were all around the area. The place was called "the cemetery of nameless men." Burt Lancaster placed one of the crosses upside down to signal there was danger ahead. He was right. He was captured by Mexican bandits and hung upside down from a tree. Fortunately, Lee Marvin and Woody Strode came and rescued him. Later in the movie, as the four heroes were riding back through the slot canyon below this site they dynamited the canyon to block their escape from the bandits. The movie is well worth renting. It has a nice twist at the end.

For ten extra points: Watch the movie and e-mail us the two words scrawled on the side of this building that can easily be seen while the professionals camped twice at this site. Hint: Both words start with a V.
