Geocache Description:

This cache is the second in a series of caches located in small flora and fauna reserves on the Mornington Peninsula.
This cache is located in the Main Ridge Flora and Fauna Reserve.

There is a lovely 3 km circuit walk in this reserve, while your here pick up three wonderful caches by BorisB&Natasha and Nut bear, there is abundant wildlife and birdlife in the reserve, take time to relax and take in the beauty.

September 2018 update: When this cache was placed in 2009 you could see the lone treefern in the small gully from the track, hence the cache name. Now nine years on, the bush has grown up and the treefern is no longer visible from the track.
The cache is located at the base of the treefern in a hollow log sixty metres from the track. It is now quite a bush bash. You have been warned! From previous logs, there are leeches present in the bush, i myself have never uncounted any, maybe they don't like my blood?

Also, the hiding spot for this cache is sheltered and if placed back properly can't get wet, so please place back properly for the enjoyment of future cachers making the effort to come and find this cache. Cheers, BWBandit
