Nagasaki ANCHOR was sinking in the bottom of Nagasaki-bay.
This anchor was sinking in Nagasaki Port to fix the mooring buoy which joined by a big ship in the Taisho era. Many ships were moored to this anchor, one of which was the great "Ten-yo maru" that was constructed in 1908 in Mitsubishi Nagasaki Shipyard. This anchor finished its duty with the change of the Nagasaki port, and it was retired afterwards. However, the anchor revived as a pedestal of the lighthouses, as the memory of "Marine Day" establishment on July 20, 1996.
When you return the cache container, please be careful it is placed precisely just at the same position.
