There's a place to park not very far off at all. Other Knight's Pond caches have the coordinates
So my girlfriend and I went out for a geocache run. There are several around Knight's Pond. I had gone out and hidden a cache of my own, unlisted on geocaching.com, but on our cache list. I even wrote my own description, and gave it a name, something like Deposed King (which is a hint, btw). I chose the first couple caches, but then I let her choose the rest. She chose one we couldn't get to easily, so she selected another... mine.
We hiked over toward my cache. It is really tough to act like you don't know where something is when you absolutely do! Of course she was using the GPS, I just tried my best to stay behind and follow.
We got to the location, and I busied myself with looking under every nook and cranny. All the while, I could see the actual cannister without having to lift anything off. I tried to "delegate" the search, and get her looking in the right area. She still didn't find it! Eventually she caught me in my hints, but she thought I had just found the cache and was letting her "win". With a little bit of a grudge, she set the ammo box down and opened it up.
All that was there was a ring box.
She turned around, gave me a "I can't believe you tricked me" look and then embraced me. Eventually she even remembered to say "yes."
We tried to go look for other caches, but we really just wanted to get home and tell our families. In fact, we didn't find any that day except this one.
We'll be married in Tennessee on April 17th, 2010. Someone should find this cache on that day, and share a kiss in celebration!
(I misplaced my GPS for a while after there, so we're just getting to post this.)
