The bridge
Plakida’s Bridge (it is also called kalogeriko that means monastic) is a three-arch stone bridge At Voidomatis river, near the villages Kipi and Koukouli. It is called Kalogeriko (monastic) because the old wooden bridge was replaced by a stone one, as a donation of the abbot of the monastery of Profitis Ilias in 1748. Later, in 1863 the bridge was renovated by Alexis and Andreas Plakidas, so it was also named after them.
The Bridge is a really impressive one and really worths visiting!

Το γεφύρι
Το γεφύρι του Πλακίδα (διαφορετικά ονομάζεται και καλογερικό) είναι ένα πέτρινο τρίτοξο γεφύρι, στον ποταμό Βοϊδομάτη, παραπόταμο του Αώου, κοντά στα χωριά Κήποι και Κουκούλι του Κεντρικού Ζαγορίου. Λέγεται "Καλογερικό' γιατί από ξύλινο μετατράπηκε σε πέτρινο με χορηγία του ηγούμενου Σεραφείμ από το μοναστήρι του Προφήτη Ηλία, το 1748. Πήρε και το όνομα "Πλακίδα" γιατί το επισκεύασαν το 1863 ο Αλέξης και ο Ανδρέας Πλακίδας που ήταν από το Κουκούλι.
Το γεφύρι είναι εξαιρετικά ενυπωσιακό και αξίζει να το επισκευτείτε!
