When I studied in Switzerland a year ago, I learned a lot about the country that I'd never known before. This cache is for you to learn a little bit more about Switzerland! I thought it was appropriate to hide it in Stowe, as the town was modeled after a Swiss village. If you want, let me know in your log why the actual location of the cache is also very relevant to Switzerland.
The cache itself is a camo'd Rolaids container and is hidden in a geo-obvious spot. The coords might put you a few feet away, but use your geosense and you'll be fine!
A = If 2 and 4 were fighting over which was a better number and they asked Switzerland to take a side, what number would Switzerland pick?
B = What percentage of Switzerland’s total population speaks Romansch? Use only the number to the left of the decimal point.
C = This famous Swiss-born tennis player is the country’s pride and joy. What year was he born? Add the numbers together and keep adding until you get a one-digit number.
D = This organization, created by a Genevoise after seeing the wounded of war, has a flag that is identical to the Swiss flag but with reversed colors. What year did it officially begin? Add the digits until you have a single digit. Subtract 6 from your answer.
E = Switzerland is approximately the size of this US state. How many letters are in the state’s name? Subtract 5 from your answer.
F = Switzerland has how many official languages?
G = Cantons are like Swiss counties. How many cantons are there in Switzerland? Add the digits together. Subtract 3 from your answer.
H = The city of Geneva is best known for being home to this organization for world peace. Take the letters in its abbreviation and count to their corresponding numbers (A=1, B=2). Add the two numbers together and use only the first digit.
I = Although there is only one technically ruling at a time, how many presidents preside over Switzerland together?
J = What is Switzerland’s abbreviation? (EX: France is FR, Canada is CA). Count to each letter’s corresponding number (A=1, B=2) and add them together. You should only have two letters. Keep adding until you have a one-digit number. Then, add 3. (The reason is more interesting than the answer.)
Quand j’ai étudié en Suisse il y a une année, j’ai appris beaucoup d’un pays que je ne savais jamais. Cette cache est pour vous d’apprendre plus de ce beau pays. J’ai decidé de la cachée à Stowe, parce que cette village a été creée pour se ressembler à une village Suisse.
La cache est un conteneur de Rolaids camoufluée et est cachée dans une place évidente. Les coordonnées peuvent vous placer quelques mètres de la cache, donc il faut utiliser la sense géo.

H = La ville de Genève est mieux connue comme la maison de cette organization de la paix mondiale. Prenez les lettres dans l’abréviation de l’organization et comptez à leurs chiffres correspondants (A=1, B=2). Additionez les deux chiffres et utilisez seulement le premier chiffre de la réponse.
I = Bien qu'il en soit seulement un qui gouverne, combien de presidents sont-il en Suisse a chaque moment?
