Church of St. Gellért
The history of the church
The foundation-stone of the new St. Gellért church and parish was layed on 24. september, 1984., St. Gellért's day. The birth of our Lord on Christmas of 1992 was celebrating in the new church, which was the first holy mess of the church. The church's closed, inner space enlargable with opening of the side rooms. The church can admit 1500 people without crowding. The church with the cemetry urn was designed by András Kiss Ybl Prize Winner architect. The columbarium was finished in 2003. It's gave it's name from Holy Grave. In august, 1999 was built the belfry of the church, and was opened the statue garden of the saints of Arpad-house with works of Imre Varga sculptor. In the statue garden are seen five hungarian saint's brazen-bust: king St. István, king St. László, prince St. Imre, St. Erzsébet of Árpád-house and St. Margit of Árpád-house.
How to get to the church:
By BKK tram Nr. 19 or Nr. 49 as far as Szent Gellért-templom stop.
The box is hidden at a very busy spot – please be careful!
You don't need to go into the graveyard!
The cache contains only log book, so you have to bring your own pen.

Szent Gellért templom
A templom története
Az új Szent Gellért templom és plébánia alapkövét 1984. szeptember 24-én, Szent Gellért ünnepnapján tették le. 1992 karácsonyán Urunk születését már az új templomban ünnepelték, amely egyúttal a templom elso szentmiséje is volt. A templom zárt, belso tere az oldaltermek megnyitásával bovítheto, zsúfoltság nélkül 1500 embert is képes befogadni. A templomot az urnatemetovel Kiss András Ybl-díjas építész tervezte. A kolumbárium 2003 oszére készült el, nevét a Szent Sírról kapta. 1999 augusztusára épült meg a templom harangtornya, és nyílt meg Varga Imre szobrászmuvész alkotásaival az Árpád-házi szentek szoborkertje. A szoborkertben öt magyar szent: Szent István király, Szent László király, Szent Imre herceg, Árpád-házi Szent Erzsébet, valamint Árpád-házi Szent Margit bronzból készült mellszobra látható.
Hogy jutsz el a templomhoz:
A 19-es vagy 49-es villamossal a Szent Gellért-templom megállóig.
A láda nagyon forgalmas helyen van elrejtve – kérlek légy óvatos!
Nem kell bemenni a sírkertbe!
A dobozban csak a logbook van, vigyél magaddal tollat!
