Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
NOTE: Serious geocachers carry their own tools. There may or may not be a pen in the cache!
Despite what you may have learned from Ray Stevens, please note that the cache name has nothing to do with the amount of clothes you should (or should not) be wearing while Geocaching - ESPECIALLY if I am meeting you at the final!!!
Coordinates on the page are correct, but your find will be deleted if you do not follow the special logging requirements. Please read the entire page carefully before logging a find. The difficulty/terrain rating is based on the difficulty faced in the challenge, not of the final cache. The final is your typical ammo can in the woods.
I have attempted to place the final cache in as central a location in the state as possible: it is easily accessible from I-85, business I-85, Hwy 29, Hwy 52, Hwy 64, and Hwy 70. It is approximately 30 minutes from I-40 and 45 minutes from I-77.
Numbers. We are fascinated by them. We love to celebrate milestones and goals involving various numbers. One hundred often seems to be a significant number that gives us a sense of accomplishment. With this in mind, I offer you a special challenge: to log a “Found it” for this cache, in addition to finding the cache and signing the logbook, you must have found at least one cache a day for one hundred consecutive days.
Based on feedback from and incidents seen with Challenges in other states, some guidelines need to be laid out:
1. Generally accepted rules, guidelines, and conditions for logging a cache find apply. All caches must be bona fide caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally (physically) found and logged under your Geocaching.com handle. You may include caches found prior to the creation of this challenge; indeed, many of you may already be eligible to log the final.
2. All cache types count as finds for this Challenge. While some challenges exclude Events, Mega-events, and CITOs, I encourage you to mix with your fellow geocachers at every opportunity.
3. While you may have others with you when you find the final cache, only those who have fulfilled all criteria for this cache will be allowed to log it as a find.
4. Hides may not be substituted for a find to meet the requirements for this cache.
Demonstrate your completion of the challenge any way you see fit: reference your profile, a subset of your 'my finds' PQ, text in the log, create a Bookmark list, etc. Need just a little fix everyday? Don’t worry, I’m sure you can quit any time you want...right???
