This is the 2nd in a series of cache's around flowerdale Lagoon, After a short walk along the Wiradjuri Walking Track, Plenty of parking is available depending which end you tackle it from
Flowerdale Lagoon is one of many similar billabongs along the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. The Flowerdale residence was erected in 1853. The first occupants, the Best family, were forced to move there from there original home on the river bank by a large flood in June 1852.
During the early 1870s, a number of farmers near Flowerdale grew a variety of Sorghum known as the 'Planters Friend', hoping to establish a sugar industry.
The cache container is a magnetic key holder containing a log only so you will need to bring your own pen
