Located at the beginning
of the American Tobacco Trail; yes this is the beginning even if
the restroom looks like a caboose.
Placed in conjunction
with Wake county Parks and Recreation's event entitled,
"Kickoff
to a Healthy New Year" and spear headed
by assistant park manager Amy E. Corbally, held on 1/9/2010. The
idea is to get folks moving and active towards a healthy New Year!
To this end, they are offering an assortment of activities such as:
guided nature walks by park staff, free health screenings from Rex
hospital, shoe fittings, yoga, etc....There are a lot of geocaches
along the Trail and thought this would be a great tie in with their
event. - get families active and outdoors doing something fun
together along the trail! In this ammo can you will find exercise
related items, to keep the theme going please trade only like
items.
