35 mm file cannister hidden near The Langton in Charlton Kings
Note the number on the logsheet, for a bonus cache somewhere in the area
In December 1986, a small group of friends decided to entertain themselves one evening by visiting each of Charlton Kings' pubs (seven, plus one twice). New friends have joined, and others have moved on, but the annual trip still continues. This series is placed honour of the 23rd running of the event, and in particular honour of Jeff (and Rachel) who was one of the original group, but has now departed for sunnier climes.
When the event first started, the Langton was not a pub / dining house, but a girls' school; inside there is ample photographic evidence of the building's past.
An addition to the route in the mid- to late 1990's it is now stop number 5.
Parking is not a problem, at the pub, although it is a short walk to the cache to avoid too many caches too close to each other. The cache is placed next to a main road, so please be careful with geodogs and geokiddies - and for the same reason it is not wheelchair accessible (sorry !)
