In December 1986, a small group of friends decided to entertain themselves one evening by visiting each of Charlton Kings' pubs (seven, plus one twice). New friends have joined, and others have moved on, but the annual trip still continues. This series is placed during the 23rd running of the event, and in honour of Jeff (and Rachel), who was one of the original group, but has now departed for sunnier climes.
The Ryeworth is number 7 on the route, Of all the pubs visited way back in 1986, this one seems to have changed the least.
