In December 1986, a small group of friends decided to entertain themselves one evening by visiting each of Charlton Kings' pubs (seven, plus one twice). New friends have joined, and others have moved on, but the annual trip still continues. This series is placed honour of the 23rd running of the event, and in particular honour of Jeff (and Rachel) who was one of the original group, but has now departed for sunnier climes.
The Royal is number 3 on the route. Due to the proximity of the St Mary's church micro this is on offset cache.
The final location is N 51 52.7X4, W 002 02.9Y9.
On the front of the pub is a date - 1AB0
