Geocache Description:



This intersection has been dubbed Malfunction Junction for many years by the locals as you see the intersection from your vantage point, you may see why it was so bad. It actually sees quite a few wrecks even after all the changes made over the years. Even my wife was tangled up in a three car pile up while she sat at a red light here. So please pay attention while driving around this area. The cache has several safe locations to park nearby. The best approach is from Pleasant valley Rd from the east. The intersection had eight different directions meeting on a curve, under an overpass. No turn arrows for anyone and it was nearly impossible to see all directions.
Since then Cottage hill was moved over. Pleasant valley has been made to turn into other approach roads before the intersection and turn arrows have been installed for some of the approaches. But still it is a very dangerous location to not pay attention.
