 They care for one another, know each other’s intimate joys and pain, and most every day, share coffee.  This got me thinking about this simple thing of sharing coffee.  Of meeting with friends or neighbors simply to share a coffee, and nothing else.  There is this wonderful opportunity– of time and connection that occurs when we aren’t pre-occupied by the busy-ness of our lives, or the preparing of a meal or event, that is typically associated with gathering .  It’s sort of a break from that busy-ness, to just connect without agenda.  It’s hard to make time for this seemingly ‘extraneous’ activity of meeting for coffee… but when we actually do… how wonderful it is.   Now that’s, the stuff of life.  I’m now thinking of all the people I could share a good long coffee date with…

     Sugar will not be there but her parents will fill in for her.
